Role in COCOLIH2T

Collins Aerospace are the proposal lead and consortium coordinators of the COCOLIH2T programme, and bring extensive experience in the coordination of multinational European R&D programmes across Horizon Europe, Clean Aviation and Clean Hydrogen partnerships. Within COCOLIH2T, the team based in Cork, Ireland lead the programme management and communication / dissemination work packages, whilst acting as overall project point of contact. Leveraging expertise in sensing, thermomechanical modelling, multidisciplinary design optimisation (MDO) and composites, Collins aerospace also lead the Tank health monitoring and inspection system work package as well as providing key inputs to several other key areas of the programme.

Jack Cullinan

Project Coordinator

Jack Cullinan is the COCOLIH2T programme coordinator and principal investigator for Collins Aerospace. At Collins, Jack is the advanced manufacturing discipline lead for the enterprise engineering Applied Research and Technologies (ART) group. Jacks background is in composites and has led several aircraft propulsion R&D projects, primarily for fan blade and case applications. Prior to joining Collins, Jack previously led the concept development team at the UK’s National Composites Centre (NCC). Jack holds a BEng in Mechanical Engineering from University College Dublin, Ireland, a MSc in Aerospace Engineering (Composites) from Imperial College London, UK, a PhD in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Bristol, UK.

 

Rohan Chabukswar

Chief Technologist

Rohan Chabukswar received his bachelor’s degree in Engineering Physics from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, Mumbai, India, in 2008, and his master’s and doctoral degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, United States in 2009 and 2014 respectively.

Since then he has been with Collins Aerospace Applied Research & Technology (formerly United Technologies Research Center) in Cork, Ireland, where he currently holds the position of Chief Technologist. His research interests include AI algorithms, diagnostics and decision support in aerospace, and secure control of cyberphysical systems. Dr. Chabukswar received UTRC’s Outstanding Achievement Award for co-development of new technologies in 2016.

Maeve Costello, working as part of the EU Program Management Team for Collins Aerospace Ireland and is the Project Manager for COCOLIH2T.

Maeve joined Collins Aerospace Applied Research and Technology (previously United Technologies Research Center) in 2018.

Kostas Kouramas

Kostas Kouramas

Chief Technologist

Kostas Kouramas is the Program Leader for Data Intelligence at Collins Aerospace Applied Research and Technology and the main point of contact for health monitoring in the COCOLIH2T project. Kostas’s background is in control systems and machine learning and has led several R&D projects in advanced controls of uncertain dynamic systems, machine learning and machine vision. Kostas is the author/co-author of various scientific journal, conference papers and patents. Prior joining Collins, Kostas held various position as research associate, part-time lecturer and teaching assistant in optimization, control and data-driven modelling.  He holds a BSc degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from University of Patras, and a MSc/DIC and PhD from Imperial College.
